Sake is Japan's national alcoholic beverage brewed from rice, and can be enjoyed in a variety of different vessels. These ceramic sake cups (guinomi or ochoko) are small because it is Japanese etiquette to keep pouring each other sake. You can pair these cups with a matching server (tokkuri) or mix and match with other servers and cups.
Tenmoku is a dark glaze made of feldspar, limestone, and iron oxide, and Yuteki adds an oil spot effect that occurs when there is an excess of iron oxide which is allowed to cool slowly and forms effulgent spots on the surface. It is a very difficult technique.
