Koshihikari was first released in 1956 after 12 years of research and reform and became the most cultivated rice in Japan. Koshikikari variety has been the most preferred Japanese rice in Japan as its shining color, firmness and strong flavor.
This Koshihikari rice is grown in the Uonuma area of Niigata. The Uonuma region has a lot of natural sources and is rich in pure water and clean air, which is suitable for rice cultivation and is famous for producing high-quality rice.
