The Debado SNE line is an evolutionary iteration of Suehiro's old Debado line produced individually by hand with the goal of being more wear resistant while retaining its excellent cutting speed. Like all others in the Debado line, these stones are splash and go and more resistant to dishing than Suehiro's Cerax line making them perfect for heavy-handed sharpeners looking for stones with easy maintenance and a long service life. All Debado SNE come attached to a convenient base and stow away into a shielded compartment.
The Debado 600# SNE feels markedly different to the rest of the SNE line. It cuts steel quickly with relatively low pressure and develops a mud even on double bevel knives. The cutting speed coupled with its wear resistance easily make this stone a favorite for a two step sharpening setup in conjunction with a stone like the SNE 3000#. The scratches are a little deeper compared to a stone like the Shapton Glass 500 but still quite manageable.
