Aesthetic appeal in traditional Japanese cuisine has always played a vital role, and the choice of tableware is just as important as the choice of ingredients. While a lot of other cuisines prefer a plain white canvas, Japanese chefs use plates, bowls, glasses, serving utensils and chopsticks to enhance and complement the presentation of food.
This ceramic medium bowl is typically used for serving rice with sauce (donburi) such as Katsudon, Gyudon, Tuna don etc . It can also be used as a kobachi or as a mini noodle bowl.
This bowl exterior is designed with pinstripe that is called Tokusa technique.
Please be aware that these bowls are dishwasher safe but we highly recommend that you wash them by hand.
