Wagashi (和菓子) is a traditional Japanese confection that is often served with matcha green tea. Wagashi is often made with mochi, Anko (azuki bean paste), Wasanbon sugar, and Kuzu-ko. Wagashi is typically made from plant-based ingredients, but also you can see many western-style Wagashi that create delicious marriage.
