Tokyo Negi, sometimes referred to as “Naga Negi”, can be used in dishes where you use green onions or scallions. Though they look similar to leeks, the Negi has a more delicate texture and no hard inner core. Tokyo Negi is a staple ingredient in Nabe or Japanese hotpot. Once simmered in broth the Negi becomes sweet and tender. Recommended dishes: nabe, sukiyaki, grilled Negi, shiraga Negi garnish
